2020A and 2020B Undergraduate Procedures and Changes as result of COVID-19

Dear students: Please find below for updates to Summer 2020 and Spring 2020 procedures as a result of the University’s COVID-19 operational changes.

 

Petition for Action

Petition requests can be submitted directly to petition@seas.upenn.edu. Faculty and Ugrad Curriculum Chair signatures are not required. Form Link

Please note: Deadlines will be strictly enforced for all late withdrawal or late grade change type requests.

Minors

Requests can be submitted to the appropriate Department (see below for the appropriate email). Approvals can be forwarded directly to buoni@seas.upenn.edu. The engineering Registrar will post the record, notify the student, and copy the department so they are aware the action has been posted on the record. Form Link

Second Majors

Requests can be submitted to the appropriate Department (see below for the appropriate email). Approvals can be forwarded directly to buoni@seas.upenn.edu. The engineering Registrar will post the record and notify the student and will copy the department so they are aware the action has been posted on the record. Department coordinators should assign the advisor on the student record based on this notification. Form Link

Change of Curriculum

Requests can be submitted to the Department (see below for the appropriate email) of the proposed new curriculum. Approvals can be forwarded directly to buoni@seas.upenn.edu. The engineering registrar will post the record and notify the student, the department coordinator for the new curriculum, the new advisor and the department coordinator for the major they are leaving so they are aware the action has been processed. Course Withdrawal

Requests can be submitted directly to the engineering registrar – buoni@seas.upenn.edu. No signatures required. The engineering Registrar will forward the request to the Central Registrar for posting and then notify the student, advisor and instructor that the request has been processed. Form Link

CPT

Requests can be submitted directly to buoni@seas.upenn.edu. All required documents need to be included (cover sheet, proposal, job offer letter). Email/electronic signature approval from the project advisor is also required. The remainder of the approval process will not change. Form Link

Permission to Register for a Course

Requests can be submitted directly to buoni@seas.upenn.edu. Will not be applicable until Advance Registration opens.

Note: Time Conflict forms for Fall 2020 cannot be processed until after advance registration. Form Link

Core Substitution Forms

Requests will continue to be processed through the Department (see below for the appropriate email). Undergraduate Coordinators should submit completed Core Substitution forms to petition@seas.upenn.edu. Core Substitution forms can be found here.

Independent Study

Leave of Absence

No change required. The engineering Registrar will post records after receiving notification.

Study Abroad
