Accelerated Master’s Degree, Dual Degree, and Dual Majors Application Deadlines

We want to inform you of upcoming deadlines for accelerated master’s, dual degree, and dual major applications:

Accelerated Master’s (AM) Degree:

  • Students applying to the Penn Engineering Accelerated Master’s Program (AM) should apply during their sophomore or junior year.
  • For Spring 2026 admission into the Accelerated Master’s Programs in Engineering (4+1), the student must submit the application no later than December 15, 2025.

Fall 2026 Accelerated Master’s (4+1) Webinar

Ready to fast-track your future? Join us for a virtual information session on the Accelerated Master’s (4+1) Degree Program. It’s a fantastic opportunity for current Penn Engineering undergrads to earn both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in as little as five years.

EAS5490 Engineering Entrepreneurship Lab – develop a high-tech venture based on your research

EAS5490 applies the principles of engineering and engineering entrepreneurship to a real-world problem of your specific field of study or professional interest. Students will develop a venture based on a high-tech product or service concept and present the concept to a panel of venture capitalists and entrepreneurs. Undergrads can apply, but the prerequisite for this course is EAS 5450

Wellness at Penn, in partnership with campus organizations, is excited to bring a free vending machine to students offering essential wellness products. Located on the 3rd floor of the ARCH building (3601 Locust Walk), the Wellness Express includes:

Irish Christmas in America

Make merry this holiday season with the enchanting sounds of Ireland’s finest traditional artists. Returning for the first time since 2017, this special 20th anniversary concert features vocal star Caitríona Sherlock in her Philadelphia debut as well as the local talent of McAleer-Paulson School of Irish Dance.

Scholarships & Grants Opportunities

The Siddall Sheffield Scholarship

The Siddall Sheffield Scholarship recognises academic excellence and covers the full tuition fee for a one-year Engineering Master’s plus a stipend of £18,000. Funding is confirmed for future years, with one scholarship available per year. Applications for the 2026 award are now open, with a deadline to apply by Tuesday, January 13th, 2026 (5 pm UK time), and final decisions shared in March 2026.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Siddall Sheffield Scholarship, students must:

  • Be a US citizen who has formerly studied in the US, a non-UK resident, and not lived in the UK
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field before departure to the UK
  • Have a preferred GPA of 3.7 or higher
  • Be successfully accepted to study one of our one-year full-time Master’s programmes in the Faculty of Engineering by the time the Scholarship is awarded.

President’s Innovation Prize

The President’s Innovation Prize(link is external) will provide a graduating Penn senior, or team of graduating seniors, $100,000 (plus a $50,000 living stipend per team member) to envision and implement an innovative, commercial venture that makes a positive difference in the world.

The competition is open to full-time undergraduates in good academic standing in the Engineering, Nursing, SAS (including LPS), or Wharton undergraduate divisions who have completed at least three-quarters of the credits needed for their baccalaureate degree and who are scheduled to graduate in December 2025, May 2026, or August 2026.

The President’s Innovation Prize is jointly administered by the Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships and the Penn Center for Innovation. This year’s application deadline is January 21, 2026. A winner will be announced in April. Visit this website for more information

Apply to Present at the Yale Undergraduate Research Conference 

The Yale Undergraduate Research Conference (YURC) is the nation’s largest and most prestigious student-run research conference, bringing together hundreds of undergraduates from around the world to Yale University. Participants present original research spanning the full spectrum of academic disciplines, from science and engineering to the social sciences and humanities. Apply to present by January 1. The conference will take place from February 20-22, 2026.

Global Research & Internship Program 2026 Applications Now Open

The Global Research & Internship Program offers outstanding undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to intern or conduct research with a variety of organizations and companies abroad for 8 to 12 weeks over the summer.

Program Features and Facts:
