Workshop: Pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Science and Engineering

Are you interested in pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in science and engineering? If yes, the Pathway to PhD Program (PPP) may be for you. This workshop will walk you through applying to graduate-level PhD programs in the United States. It will provide information about funding opportunities and help you develop your application materials.

The intensive workshop will be held online on
Saturday, September 14th,
10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
EDT (Philadelphia, PA).

Meet the staff at the Greenfield Intercultural Center, student leaders of Natives at Penn, and members of the Native American and Indigenous community here at Penn and in Philadelphia. Tour our Lenape Turtle Garden. This event is specifically open to students who identify as Native and/or Indigenous.

Wharton Undergraduate Healthcare Club 2024 Research Conference

WUHC, BMES, and PUCS are excited to announce our inaugural 2024 Research Conference! All current undergraduate students and incoming freshmen are invited to submit abstracts showcasing any research within the healthcare and medical fields.

Selected students will have the opportunity to present their work through posters and oral presentations. The panel of judges will assess the presentations, and top presenters will be awarded cash prizes of up to $250.

Research Study on Student Voting and Civic Engagement

You are invited to participate in an online research study about voting and civic engagement among Penn students conducted by the Penn Communication Neuroscience Lab in partnership with Penn Leads the Vote.

Eligibility: Penn students who are 18 years or older and eligible to vote in the upcoming 2024 U.S. general election (Unsure? Check here)

ESAC Club

The Engineering Student Activities Council (ESAC) is a student organization at the University of Pennsylvania that serves as the umbrella for all student groups within SEAS at Penn. ESAC coordinates the activities of the various undergraduate organizations and acts as a liaison among undergraduate engineering students, SEAS faculty, and administration. ESAC is now accepting applications to join the board! Reach out to pennesac@gmail.com for questions.

Engineering Dean’s Advisory Board

The Engineering Deans’ Advisory Board at the University of Pennsylvania works directly with deans and faculty from Penn Engineering to implement initiatives that enrich the learning and welfare of Engineers. Want to learn more about Engineering Dean’s Advisory Board, check it out here.

Penn Engineering Council (PEC)

The Penn Engineering Council (PEC) is the pre-professional branch of the Engineering student government quad-board at the University of Pennsylvania. PEC’s role is to organize events in the domains of academic mentorship and professional development and to serve as a funding organization to its constituent clubs and pre-professional societies within the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Engineering Entrepreneurship

Join the Student Ventures Committee at Penn Engineering

Gain practical experience in engineering entrepreneurship by evaluating high-tech concepts, ventures, and investment opportunities. Committee members will review applications, conduct technical and business due diligence, make recommendations, and other duties to support Penn Engineering’s Entrepreneurship initiatives.

  • Committee membership is open to all Penn Engineering students interested in new technologies, engineering, and/or venture capital.

Entrepreneurship Fellows Program – Only 12 Students Get This Opportunity!

  • Penn Engineering will welcome its 2025 cohort to the Entrepreneurship Fellows Program which offers an immersive tech startup experience like no other!
  • Duration: January to December.
  • Coursework: Spring and fall semesters with just 12 students. Earn 2 credits towards the Entrepreneurship minor/certificate.
  • Paid Summer Internship: At tech startups in the northeast. Work directly with tech founders on strategic initiatives. Visit your cohort and learn from their experiences as well.
  • Mentorship: Gain invaluable insights from venture capitalists and startup alumni.
