The Table Leader Job Opportunity

The Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Innovation (CETLI) is seeking to hire enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Learning Assistants (LAs) to serve as Table Leaders for spring 2025. Table Leaders play a vital role in facilitating small group discussions during the synchronous training sessions, helping new TAs and LAs explore real-world teaching dynamics, develop effective grading strategies, and navigate challenging situations. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to make a meaningful impact on their peers’ professional development.

Projects for Progress 2025

As an institution dedicated to addressing the world’s most intractable problems, Penn has established a fund intended to encourage students, staff, and faculty to design and implement pilot projects based on innovative research that will advance our aim of a more inclusive society. We seek to seed impactful projects, grounded in outstanding Penn research, that will offer new ideas to enhance the quality of life for members of our Philadelphia community now and in the future. Project proposals from diverse teams—broadly conceived—will receive priority consideration.

Each winning team will receive up to $100,000 to implement their proposed initiative. Project proposals should be focused on making progress toward one or more of the following goals:

• Eradicating systemic racism
• Achieving educational equity
• Advancing environmental justice & sustainability
• Eliminating health disparities based on race, gender, sexual orientation, and/or social determinants of health

Penn Spark presents Penn Place

This semester, Penn Spark is excited to present Penn Place: a collaborative digital art experiment that invites Penn students to create 3D art in a shared voxel grid. Inspired by Reddit’s r/place, our platform allows users to place colored voxels (blocks) in a 3D space, building and shaping a dynamic digital canvas in real-time. The concept merges interactive 3D art with Penn’s campus culture, offering students a unique opportunity to collectively shape a one-of-a-kind visual experience.

Penn Place will be online for a limited time from December 1st to December 7th at noon. We invite students, faculty, clubs, or anyone on campus to make creative contributions on the platform, celebrating the end of the semester in a fun, creative 3D digital experience.

Best experienced on a laptop or desktop device.
