Academic planning covers a wide range of topics, including choosing a major, registering for classes, and defining career goals. While the ultimate decision rests with you, the student, the Penn Engineering undergraduate advising system is designed to support and guide you while making these important choices. During the Fall and Spring semesters in-person walk-in advising takes place Monday – Thursday from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at 107 Towne Building. The Engineering Student Activities Council (ESAC) is a student organization at the University of Pennsylvania that serves as the umbrella for all student groups within SEAS at Penn. ESAC coordinates the activities of the various undergraduate organizations and acts as a liaison among undergraduate engineering students, SEAS faculty, and administration.

All members of the Penn community now can initiate a meal between students (undergraduates & graduates) and mentors (i.e. current or past professors, teaching assistants, advisors, RAs, PHINS, Peer Advisors, and members of Penn’s professional staff). The Penn Mentor Meals Program encourages students (undergraduate & graduate) and their mentors to engage in intellectual or casual conversation outside of the classroom and simultaneously provide them with the opportunity to do so free of charge over lunch or dinner.

MIT Solve 2024 Global Challenges are now open for applications! MIT Solve’s Global Challenges seek innovators who are using technology to solve today’s most pressing problems. The selected innovators will share over $1 million in available funding, take part in a nine-month support program, and join the Solve community of cross-sector social impact leaders to help scale their solutions.

The Rachleff Scholars Program offers Penn Engineering undergraduates the opportunity to gain valuable research experiences with standing faculty and to participate in a community of peers who share a common interest in research and scholarly inquiry. The Rachleff Scholars Program is open to rising sophomores with at least a 3.4 Cumulative GPA and strong interests in engineering research. Application deadline is June 21, 2024.
