Accelerated Master’s Degree, Dual Degree, and Dual Majors Application Deadlines
We want to inform you of upcoming deadlines for accelerated master’s, dual degree, and dual major applications:
Accelerated Master’s (AM) Degree:
- Students applying to the Penn Engineering Accelerated Master’s Program (AM) should apply during their sophomore or junior year.
- For Spring 2026 admission into the Accelerated Master’s Programs in Engineering (4+1), the student must submit the application no later than December 15, 2025.

Invitation to the 2025 Global Surgery Fall Symposium
This year’s theme is “Beyond the Operation: Building Sustainable Systems in Global Surgery”. We are hoping that you can help us publicize this event to any engineering undergraduate students interested in attending.
The keynote speaker this year is Dr. John Meara, DMD, MD, MBA, Plastic Surgeon-in-Chief at Boston Children’s Hospital and a leading advocate for global surgery and health systems strengthening. He has also served as Co-Chair of the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery and will be here to share his perspective. The event will also feature a panel of surgeons from a variety of specialties (including ortho and plastics), global health abstracts, and opportunities for discussion around surgical equity and capacity building in low-resource settings.

The Weingarten Center
The Weingarten Center assesses students’ needs, makes appropriate referrals, and helps students navigate campus resources. They offer expertise in developing effective study skills and strategies as students pursue academic goals and rise to their own potential. They help students develop communication, problem-solving, and self-advocacy skills. They encourage students to prioritize their mental health and well-being and make time for self-care. They strive to destigmatize disability, normalize asking for help, and support accommodations that remove barriers and level the playing field.

Pan-Asian American Community House (PAACH)’s 25th Anniversary Speaker Event “A Fireside Chat with Award
Join the Pan-Asian American Community House (PAACH) for a special fireside chat with Richard Lui—award-winning journalist, MSNBC/NBC News anchor, and documentary filmmaker—as part of the PAACH 25th Anniversary Celebration. Facilitated by Karu Kozuma, Vice Provost for University Life, this dynamic conversation will explore the intersections of identity, storytelling, and leadership.

Scholarships & Grants Opportunities
President’s Innovation Prize
The President’s Innovation Prize(link is external) will provide a graduating Penn senior, or team of graduating seniors, $100,000 (plus a $50,000 living stipend per team member) to envision and implement an innovative, commercial venture that makes a positive difference in the world.
The competition is open to full-time undergraduates in good academic standing in the Engineering, Nursing, SAS (including LPS), or Wharton undergraduate divisions who have completed at least three-quarters of the credits needed for their baccalaureate degree and who are scheduled to graduate in December 2025, May 2026, or August 2026.
The President’s Innovation Prize is jointly administered by the Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships and the Penn Center for Innovation. This year’s application deadline is January 21, 2026. A winner will be announced in April. Visit this website for more information
