Course Action Notices - Instructor Issued
When a student is performing poorly in a course, an instructor may issue a Course Action Notice (CAN). A student who receives the notice should speak with their advisor and the course instructor to decide what action to take. Sending a CAN is a matter of discretion for the individual instructor. Therefore, students are advised to routinely assess their performance in class and speak with their instructors regarding their progress.
